Anyone know of some really really good romance novels?

ok so i'm looking for a series or just some random romance novels that can compare to Karen Marie Moning's Highlander or Fever series. I love a lot of action and very passionate love scenes, i prefer historical romance/time travel/fantasy that sorta thing. Anyone have any good suggestions? They have to be deep romance though, where u get to really know the characters and stuff, not that knock off crap. I read the Nicholas Sparks books, I highly suggest them! I don't know if you hate them because many do, or you've already read them, but the twilight saga is romance. Plus, my sister really likes the Sarah Dessen books! Also some romance books that I've heard good things about are Forever by Judy Bloom, Girl at Sea by Marlene Johnson, Angels in pink series, A Countess Below Stairs, Go Figure, Kiss Me Kill Me, The Juliet Club, mortal instruments, hush hush, shiver, caroline b conney, the red necklace (1), the silver blade(2)Anyone know of some really really good romance novels?
If it's a basic love story you're looking for you can't go wrong with Erich Segall's "A Love Story." You'll be able to read it in a day or less. Not much action, but you definitely get into the characters. No graphic sex scenes either, but it's still a classic must-read. My favourite love story is Charlotte Bronte's "Villette." No sex scenes there.Anyone know of some really really good romance novels?
Any book by Nicholas Sparks is a romance novel and I've cried over everyone of them. Some are The Notebook, Dear John, Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, The Choice, The Notebook.
