I love the classics, like Anne of Green Gables, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, and everything by Jane Austen, but I'm looking for something a little more risky and passionate (not that the classics aren't, because they certainly are!).
I'm open to any time period. I especially love pirate books for some reason.

If you want a passionate pirate book then I recommend you read 'The Pirate Prince' by Gaelen Foley. It has steamy scenes and it is set in the olden days although I'm not sure what era. (probably regency)
If you want to continue to read historical romances rather than classics I would warn that the quality of writing differs dramatically. The majority of historical romances are all about sex and less about the plot. However, some good ones that have a lot of plot but are also passionate are 'Dreaming of You' and the 'Devil in Winter' by Lisa Kleypas and any book by Loretta Chase.What are some young adult historical romance novels?

I'm assuming you've heard of "The Princess Bride" already.
Some of the later "Little House on the Prairie" series books have some very touching romance in them, from "Little Town on the Prairie" on where Almanzo starts bringing Laura home every weekend from her horrible teaching job to see her family. Also the later 'Betsy-Tacy' series books (set in the 1910's or so) are full of boy drama from the time Betsy starts making guy friends to trying to master married life with Joe.
