What are some unusual time settings in Historical Romance novels that you've read and enjoyed most?

Time periods set in eras that one doesn't usually find that makes the story even more interesting and enjoyable. Like say 1920's? Or centered around a event or era that really stands out? I'm looking for some interesting reads other than the typical fare, which is good but alittle tiring.What are some unusual time settings in Historical Romance novels that you've read and enjoyed most?
