How many boys like romance novels?

I'm curious as to how many of the male gender like romance novels. Is it rare? Or is it quite common? Do you know any boys that like romance novels? Merci for your answers in advance! ;)How many boys like romance novels?
Yes, I'm sure there are plenty of men who like Romance Novels! If you find a good author, the stories are fantastic so i'm sure both men and women enjoy it.



For example, Sherrilyn Kenyon (My favorite Author) is a romance novelist, but her stories also have a lot of action and fantasy and excitement, its understandable that men would love her books.



I knew about 4 guys in high school who recommended romance novels to me (i'm a girl) so obviously they read them.

I don't think straightforward romance novels are popular amongst guys, but in Japan there are these things called visual novels, that are mainly marketed at guys and they are very popular. Many of the more succeful ones get adapted into Anime (Clannad afterstory which is a visual novel adaptation is currently the highest rated anime on many big sites, that's how popular they are!) Some have a lot of pornographic content whilst others have none at all). They are similar to romance novels just with pictures and music. However although the themes are often centered around romance, they tend to be a little different. Unlike many of the typical novels aimed at women, these visual novels tend to deal with the harsh realities of life and relationships, and often have very sad endings.How many boys like romance novels?
