Do husbands ever get so bored that they start to read their wives romance novels?

You know those ones....

The paperbacks from the grocery store check out lines?

Do husbands ever admit to reading those and loving them?Do husbands ever get so bored that they start to read their wives romance novels?
I tried one once and it wasn't dirty enough.
I don't have to be bored to read them. They are entertaining, but I wouldn't calll them a "great read".Do husbands ever get so bored that they start to read their wives romance novels?
I would never even think of reading one of those to my wife when I'm with my mistress.

That would just be rude.
Only in San Francisco.Do husbands ever get so bored that they start to read their wives romance novels?
i have never heard of this, but i myself detest those books, so they aren't in my home.

but if your husband reads them, what's so wrong about it? maybe he'll learn how to be more sensitive, like those gorgeous men on the cover of those books.
Mine would have to be locked in an empty room for about 4 days before he would pick it up.

Once in a while he'll pick one up and look for something sordid and read it out loud while laughing. Cheeses me off.
You are living in the Dark Ages, men read romance novels, men who love to read read just about everything.

Yes, it is true that there are some males out there who only peruse Playboy and the like, but that does not mean that these individuals are the norm nececessarily.

Think of the "loving" part as in the context of foreign films: There are some horrible, boring, and often incredulous foreign films out there shown year after year at film festivals and in local movie theatres. Loving them or hating them does not entirely depend upon gender: If they are garbage, they are garbage. Period. GET IT?
yes geeks with no ambition or job,
Never been that bored in my life. And if I ever get to that point, I hope someone puts me out of my misery. Although I am a avid reader and read one to two novels a week, I have never thought a romance novel would be an interesting read. So take your poor bored husband to the library and get him a manly book to read.
I've read a few. I find the ones with short stories that are a little more steamy and risque enjoyable. But I get bored and frustrated by the ones where the heroine is so fixated on her ideal of a man that she repeatedly fails to see the guy that's right in front of her. But then again, perhaps that's just art imitating reality (over and over again).

My wife doesn't even get that bored.
I don't even get that bored.

^^^ Michael needs a shirt on please ^^^
I've read two with my wife. I didn't get anything out of them, mentally or physically.
I do occasionally read them. Mostly Nora Roberts ones. I actually like her writing, as well as that of Janet Evanovich. They're not my number one choice in reading material, but they're alright, and just like asking her to watch porn with me, sometimes it gives me a good idea for a romantic approach that she will really appreciate.
If women love them(I have read my share) you would think that men would see that and want to know what it takes to feed a woman's mind in the romance department. I am not talking just about the sexual parts either. I am also talking about the whole deal. No reading between the lines and it is all mapped out for them.
i don''t think your man would ever stoop that low {in his mind}. i have read them once or twice a long long time ago they are ok to pass the time but i wouldn't go out and buy one. i haven't been that bored in 20 years though.
oh its so annoying. my husband always does that jay jay
caught bil re-living a scene from one of mine once. he denied it til i showed him the book and found the section dogeared!! ;)
i swear i never did that!! NEVER!!
