Why do women think that listening to explict love songs and reading adult romance novels?

Any better than watching porn. What is their logic behind this? Why do women think that listening to explict love songs and reading adult romance novels?
i'd rather watch porn

i don't like to read and love songs are cool to listen to but yeah don't do it for me!

but here is a difference between most men and women!

men are visual a photo can turn them on!

women need more then a photo, a plot or story, a theme, we search for a feeling over hey look at that nip.. lol

so there is your logic!
There is an aspect of privacy and self-respect that goes along with romance novels that doesn't require the involvement of anyone but the reader. I don't know what you mean by explicit love songs, because love songs don't tend to be explicit.

There are songs about love, and there are songs about sex.

Some women enjoy the private display or feelings of sensuality. It's our nature, be we don't necessarily want to share it with the general public.

Pornography is the antithesis of sensuality. Sensation is taken to levels that excludes the involvement of love in pornographic material.

The discussion of Art vs Pornography may interest you if this is a question you really want to pursue. Why do women think that listening to explict love songs and reading adult romance novels?
Dunno, to me it sure seems like exactly the same thing. Those novels are pornographic in nature. They don't have pictures but they're just as explicit, and the end result is pretty much the same as watching porn.

Actually, know what's interesting? Pornography and fornication have the same root word in Greek. So I'd say stuff that graphically depicts fornication, even if it's through words instead of pics, is porn.
I don't care for romance novels, I prefer whodunnits. But if other people want to read romances it doesn't bother me.

But I think porn is lame. My husband likes reading adventure stories, he likes Clive Cussler, Dan Brown etc. I think I would find it a bit offputting if he was looking at porn etc instead. It seems a bit feeble to me.

I don't much care for explicit love songs, but I'm not very musical. My husband likes stuff like the Carpenters, Helen Reddy, Kate Bush etc, I am not sure whether you would call their stuff explicit or not.Why do women think that listening to explict love songs and reading adult romance novels?
Sure, there's a similarity to porn and smut (romance novels) as both engage sexual fantasy. But there's one thing that all smut has that a lot of porn doesn't, and that's additional entertainment value. There's still the rest of the story, not just the sex.

I'm not saying one is better or worse than the other. They're just different.
I think it's based on the general cultural idea that reading a book is "better/smarter" than watching TV. It takes more effort to read and you have to focus more on what is going on-- and you have to use your imagination.

Just in general, I prefer books... but I don't think porn or erotica is dirty or bad in the first place, so I don't really care about that debate.
women are not as visually stimulated as men

thats why single men want sex more often.

science proves it saying testosterone is the driving factor

the double standard that women are labelled for having multiple sex partners is due to the fact that women dont have sex with any average man. every woman has standards

so if a man gets sex means there is something good about him - thats why he is praised

on the other hand single men have sex with any kind of average woman.

so if a woman does him everyone thinks she has no standards because she can do much better
The one describes feelings and respects the experience of sex.

Porn acts like people don't even think they just get into it, which most rational people realise is stupid because you may get feelings for someone and they do not feel responsible for your emotions because .. wait for it...they don't know you.
"Explicit" love songs are actually listened to moreso by men. Women listen to romantic love songs more.

Romantic adult novels involve art of some form.

Porn is just crude sexual imagery.

We don't think it's better honey. We KNOW it is.
They're less overtly sexual. Pick up a copy of Hustler when you've never seen it before and you'll know immediately that it's porn. Pick up a Harlequin novel when you've never seen it before and it'll take some time before you get to the porn.
because generally, women are not as easily visually stimulated as men are.

Men and women are wired very differently when it comes to certain things.
women and men see things differently. women prefer to fantasize rather then watch. men prefer to watch.
Because a woman thinks with her brain and some guys....can't get their brain to think above their jocks.
