I am looking for some well-written young adult romance novels.?

I am in the mood to read some quality romance novels (not just random books about teeny-bopper crushes) that are appropriate for young adults. I liked the intensity and deep romance of Twilight; I would love to read another story like that (but please, NO more vampires!) Any recommendations are greatly appreciated :)I am looking for some well-written young adult romance novels.?
First of all, Twiligth isn't an intense, deep romance (at least I don't consider it to be)

Secondly most young adult romances are 'teeny-bopper crushes'

Try Sarah Dessen's books--(not full of passion but still cute)

Robin McKinnly's books (try Spindles End and Beauty)

Lurlene McDaniel's books (I like Garden of Angels)

I think these are the closest to what you are looking for:

Nicholas Spark's books (the notebook :))

Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause (no vampires, just werewolves)

Veil of Roses by Laura Fitzgerald

Step Into Darkeness by Naomi Bellis

Into Thin Air by Cindy Miles

A Song For Summer by Eva IbbotsonI am looking for some well-written young adult romance novels.?
not twilight.I am looking for some well-written young adult romance novels.?
anything written by Richard Paul Evans
I'd say Twilight was all about "teen-bopper crushes". Vain and shallow and ridiculously unrealistic. But hey, to each her own!

Anyways, some good romance novels:

If You Come Softly, by Jacqueline Woodson

Lovely book about a black guy and a white girl who fall in love, but everything around them tells them its wrong (i.e. parents, families, neighborhood, social class, etc.) It deals a lot with race and love, but she never gets too preachy about it, which is great.

Looking For Alaska, by John Green

About a boy going into a boarding school in Alabama and following in love with this badass girl named Alaska Young, who is more or less everything a person wishes they were. This book is epic and it'll make you laugh and cry and sometimes do both at the same time.

The Notebook, by Nicholas Sparks

Self explanatory, no? Everyone knows about the movie! But the book is excellent.

Airborn, Skybreaker, Starclimber by Kenneth Oppel:

These books are fantastic because they have a marvelous plot but with some top quality romance between a wealthy, outgoing girl named Kate de Vries who is desperate to break the social stereotypes of women, and a poor cabin boy: Matt Cruse. Takes place in the 1920s-ish. Think Titanic, but with an infinitely better storyline, funny characters, and it takes place in the air. Definitely worth reading if you like adventure AND romance.
