Oh god. It's not necessarily the erotic novels, but the sappy romantic ones. And the best ones are the ones that take place in scotland or england, and take place in the past. I love the renaissance type ones too.

Yes and no. It all depends on the writing style and the way they describe the "intimate scenes" sometimes it is almost funny

Yes, but nothing historical. Boring! Ancient sex is just too dusty for me.



As to why - for the obvious reasons.
I don't care for them. I don't know something about how they word things seems stupid. They seem more comical than sexy.
They are fantasy...that is why I like them. NOt necessarily so much erotica as trashy romance novels :) You can escape from anything...a bad relationship/a good relationship, no relationship...etc. Just gives you a break from life, really. I love them. My Mom read them all her life and at 11 or 12 those trashy parts made a deep impression, let me tell you. Those women were so sexy and the men were so strong and Manly!! Ha!
I like certain erotic fiction series, like the Black Lace ones.

The contempory stories are the best ones. And no sci-fi weird stuff!



But 'romantic' fiction is a big turn off. It is just so dull.
I don't read erotic romance but i do love erotica especially books by Zane(sex chronicles 1 and 2) I read to get techniques and ideas.

I like them they help to take your mind of the more stressful issues in life and help you to relax, there's nothing wrong with them other than the sickly sweetness but everyone needs that from time to time, i love historical romance it just makes the story even more romantic lol
I love them. Love, romance, sex, what's not to like. lol My favorite one is about vikings.
No I cant stand them
