Maggie Shayne's Wings in the Night Vampire series is really good and has also written as spin off of this series.

Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series has both werewolves and various other wereanimals, but it's more for mature audiences.

Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Underworld series is also good.

I recommend both. The Anita Blake series is for a much more mature audience, and the Women of the Underworld series is geared toward a wider audience.
Evernight was a good vampire book with romance in there. I really liked it. The next one in the series is called Stargazer, and the third book isn't out yet.

The Mortal Instruments Series is awesome! (My favorite next to Twilight)
Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter are very good, and get more romantic as the series progresses.

Secret Vampire by L.J Smith is very good. I read it in one day.

sorry thats all i can think of right now.
The Mortal Instruments Trilogy by Cassandra Clare

Here are the books in order:

1. City of Bones

2. City of Ashes

3. City of Glass
when I was a teen I enjoyed Cirque Du Freak but it typically is for a less mature audience, the character is 16 for a really long time
Blue Blood
I like the Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward. This is about the first book "Dark Lover".

Wrath is a vampire who prefers to be alone, and work alone. When his good friend Darius asks for Wrath's help with his daughter he is turned down by Wrath. Knowing going into the request it would probably be a negative answer he still attempts to reach Wrath's softer side. Darius's daughter is half human and she is getting ready to change over but will need the help of a strong vampire male. Wrath thinks he has been able to walk away from that commitment and responsibility but then Darius is killed. Now he must look over his friend's daughter. Too bad the human, Beth speaks to the long buried part of him he thought dead. Will he be able to walk away from her after her transition?

Beth has been noticing changes in her body but has been largely ignoring them as she goes about her business as writer for a local newspaper. But one night she thinks she dreams about a dark, large man who has fangs and it scares her. When she realizes it was not a dream but reality she at first wants to freak out...but then she also can't get over how sexy he is. When she finds out the truth about herself and Wrath will Beth be willing to accept what fate has in store or will the Lessers get to her first?

Some other series that I really love (I must admit I actually love these other series more than Black Dagger Brotherhood) are:

"The Immortals After Dark" series by Kresley Cole.

A great series and I find when I read these books that I'm sucked into the story and then all of a sudden I find myself cracking-up with laughter because of something that is said or done (mainly something involoving "Nutty" Nix ^_^). The first time this happened I was so surprised I had to re-read the whole page because I didn't see it coming and I wanted to re-live the laughter =). I'm not saying this series is a comedy or anything, but there is some humour involved. Here's a blurb:

Every creature or being that was thought to be mythical . . . isn鈥檛.

They all secretly exist alongside humans and enjoy the gift of immortality. There are hundreds of different kinds: from Vampires to Lykae, from Furies to Shifters, from the Fey to Valkyries.

These immortals call their world The Lore.

You may have had a brush with one of Lorekind already. The eccentric billionaire with hypnotic charisma鈥攁nd an aversion to sunlight. The ethereal waif of impossible beauty鈥攚hose fingernails look more like claws. The Highlander with a seventeenth-century Scottish accent and animal magnetism鈥攚ho can never be penciled in on the night of the full moon.

They walk among us, but they war among themselves. Each faction has its strengths, weaknesses, and age old prejudices against the others. Every five hundred years, the Accession, a battle for supremacy, rages. That time is now. . . .

"The Carpathian" series by Christine Feehan.

The humour in these books is very different but the same in that this series isn't a comedy. The humour is when an Ancient Carpathian male finds his lifemate with a modern female (even if she does have some psychic ability), the males can be ... well so cavemen-ish and so 'the women must be rolled in pillows and protected' and most of their lifemates are strong females who don't need/want protection so the males are always growling and giving orders and the females are always rolling their eyes and ignoring them. Great fun!! =) Here's a blurb of the first book Dark Prince:

Not yet a vampire but not a human, Carpathians are of the earth and have the ability to control nature. Shapeshifting, mind control and their own brand of justice - these beings are unique, enthralling and terribly exciting! If you enjoy the darker side of romance, love with a slight chill running down your spine read The Dark Series!

Mikhail Dubrinsky is the oldest existing Carpathian, he is considered one of the Ancients - although he looks like a fallen angel. His power is incredible, his responsibilities are enormous and his law is absolute. Yet his destiny lies in the soul of one petite woman who is both exquisite and intelligent, not to mention human. Of course, what else would his lifemate be?

Raven Whitney never thought her psychic abilities would bring her the love of her life, nor did she realize he would change her life forever! The only thing she knew for sure was that she loved this arrogant, totally male being with all of her heart and there was nothing she wouldn't do to make him smile, unless he became too sure of himself... then she'd have to put him in his place.

"The Dark Hunter"/"The Dream Hunter" series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

This is a great series also. The Dark Hunter and The Dream Hunter series are interwoven with each other and can be read seperatly or together. Fantasy Lover is the first book in "The Dark Hunter" series here's a blurb:

Twenty-nine year-old sex therapist Grace Alexander has been celibate for four years after experiencing a horrendous relationship with a self-centered, cruel former lover. Grace's flamboyant, exotic friend Selena decides it's time to get Grace back in the swing of things and she has just the solution -- an ancient tome holding a magnificent male specimen cursed to live between the pages of the book for eternity -- until he's called forth with a magic spell to serve as a love slave to his summoner for a period of one month. Having experienced Selena's so-called magic spells before, Grace isn't worried that the gorgeous guy in the picture is going to magically appear. Surprise, surprise, and happy birthday to Grace!

Julian of Macedon, half God, half mortal, is so exceptionally good looking that he made women fall at his feet and men green with envy and jealousy, in his time -- 149 BC. Jealousy and atonement for his sins, is what finds Julian cursed and trapped between the pages of a book only free for one month at a time, if he's lucky. Sometimes that freedom only comes once every one hundred years. When Grace summons him from the book, Julian is resigned and ready to fulfill her every sexual dream and fantasy. Grace, however, has other ideas for Julian. When she discovers just what a heartbreaking, loveless and dark life he's lived, Grace decides to show Julian just what friendship and love mean.

ENJOY!!
