I'm 17 and I love romance novels (don't judge me). Problem is, is that the books that are for teens don't seem to interest me anymore and my mom says it's because I've grown too mature for the teens books anymore and that I should start reading adult novels. I started reading them, and I love them, but hate the graphic descriptions of when they...ahem. Can someone tell me some authors who don't write the sex scenes so...descriptively? You will save me 5 dollars in trashy books! Can you tell me authors of romance novels that are non-graphic?
Try reading books by Jodi Picoult.
The Tenth Circle
Vanishing Acts
Plain Truth
My Sister's Keeper
Keeping Faith
Salem Falls
Second Glance
Nicholas Sparks doesn't write them as descriptive as some of the others I have read. I suggest him.Can you tell me authors of romance novels that are non-graphic?
Nora Roberts is cool, but she sorta does describe... um i guess Sarah Dessen is considered a teen author... but shes good...
i don't like reading graphic scenes either! i've found that the christian fiction section has good clean books. some of my favorite authors are lori wick, robin jones gunn, kristen heitzman. hope this helps! Can you tell me authors of romance novels that are non-graphic?
Betty Neels writes romance for a more old fashioned generation so she doesn't seem to write about sex much at all. I agree that these days romance novels seem to have lost a lot of what they were about, so here's a tip. Go to a second hand book store and look for Mills and Boon/Harlequin that was published in the 1980s. The sex scenes aren't anywhere NEAR as descriptive as today - plus the material is fresher because back then it hasn't been recycled a thousand times over!
Debbie Macomber (my fav is Montana)
Janet Oake
Linda Chaikin (Heart of India trilogy)
Nicholas Sparks
if you haven't read the Twilight series, I highly recomment it.
Twilight... Saga!! The 1st is Twilight the 2nd is New moon more sad :'( the 3rd is Eclipse Which is a little confusing the 4th is breaking dawn. There all REALLY GOOD!! :)
Blue Moon by Jill Marie Landis is a good romance novel. It's not lovey-dubby or has graphic or pointless sex. She's very tasteful and it's a good story. It's a historic novel but that doesn't matter.
It was my first romance novel I read and I was impressed. The other, Wolf at the Door I tried by another writer was horrid. It was disgusting. Every time the two main characters met, they were having sex. I wanted to throw the thing across the room.
