Go for Lynn Viehl's Darkyn series. The heroes in the books are dark, pretty much have their own agendas, the heroines are smart and strong. J.R. Ward is definitely another good option. Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-hunters I wouldn't consider as "dark". They do have a lot of baggage though.
I can't remember having read any romances in which the girl actually fell for a truly bad guy. Dark heroes, yes, bad bad, no.
I love to write about the girl falling for the bad guy. Warning, I mean really bad. Unfortunately my book, The Love of Her Death isn't in print anymore but boy what a bad guy! Yummy! Not all my books fall into this category. Good hunting!

Does anyone know of any dark romance novels where the girl falls for the bad guy?I agree with Sela C. All of Sherrilyn Kenyon's books feature danger and romance, volatile relationships etc. I definitely recommend it. Oh and her Dark Hunter series contains a lot of books and I suggest that if you do choose to read them, read them in order. Not that it's particularly necessary, but there are inside jokes and secrets and stuff like that which will be more enjoyed if you know what's going on.
A lot of paranormal romance novels feature this exact conflict.
JR Ward
Christine Feehan
Sherrilyn Kenyon
Also, a lot of historical novels featuring "rakes" as heroes follow this trope. I've always liked it, myself. I just don't want him to get too tame. ;-)Does anyone know of any dark romance novels where the girl falls for the bad guy?
One movie I know is Twilight.Does that help?
