Can anyone suggest some good romance novels/stories/books?

I like books set in the 17th and 18th centuries or books with pirates in them. Can anyone suggest some good romance novels/stories/books like that? Or any good romance would be appreciated. Can anyone suggest some good romance novels/stories/books?
well you might have heard about them, but the twilight saga has romance/action. i really like them. although they are set in current time there is a lot of stuff refering to the 17th and 18th century. if your not sure definitely take a look. but i will warn you, they are very addicting
Well, I haven't read any good pirate books, some historical fiction books I enjoyed are:

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray ~ Many people have already heard/read this book and the ones following it, but if you haven't it is fairly good.

Princess Academy by Shannon Hale ~ A bit of an odd book if you ask me, but one I sincerely enjoyed. It is about a girl whose village is enrolled in "Princess Academy" to help train the future wife of the current prince.

The Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale ~Good book, you should read it!

Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine ~Good book, I know, it seems like a kids book, but it is worth a read.

The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine ~ Another good book.

Dragon's Bait by Vivian Vande Velde ~ One of my all time favorite authors. It is about a dragon shape shifter and the girl who gets sacrificed to him.

Witch Dreams by Vivan Vande Velde ~ This story is about a girl who has lost her family and is dealing with powers that she has no control over in a time when witches weren't welcome.

Heir Apparent by Vivian Vande Velde ~ Now this one isn't quite historical fiction, but you might enjoy it. It is set in the future where there are virtual reality arcades. The main character gets stuck in one that is based in the past and can only survive if she wins the game.

User Unfriendly by Vivian Vande Velde ~ Very similar idea to the one above but very original plot line.

The Rumpelstiltskin Problem - by Vivian Vande Velde ~ The author, Vivian Vande Velde, wrote this story to fill in the gaps in the original tale of Rumpelstiltskins. You might want to read the original fable before this book, but the stories are captivating, from horror to humor this book has it all.Can anyone suggest some good romance novels/stories/books?
Atonement by Ian McEwan:

It tells the story of Briony Tallis's terrible mistake and how it changes her, Cecilia Tallis's and Robbie Turner's lives forever, and consequentially her effort to find atonement.

Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell:

Set against the backdrop of Georgia during the Civil War, Mitchell鈥檚 massive historical novel chronicles the tempestuous romance of Rhett Butler and Scarlett O鈥橦ara.

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte:

Jane Eyre鈥檚 ill-fated love for the brooding Mr. Rochester endures in this story of a strong-willed heroine who refuses to compromise herself.
A great book was twilight !!! it's romance the only different is that it's vampire's not pirates. But i really enjoyed it and usally hate reading and i finished the book. Now i cant wait untill the 5th book comes out.

order of the books - twilight , new moon , eclipse , breaking dawnCan anyone suggest some good romance novels/stories/books?
Hands down you have to read Shanna by Kathleen Woodiwiss!!! It hit every one of your requests. After that read A Rose in the Winter and Flame and the Flower. I will be reading these books over and over again for years to come. The Wolf and the Dove is also very good but long.
