Do you know of any good Gothic Romance novels?

In my class we're studying gothic romance, for an assignment we have to pick out a novel to read. So I want to know if you have any recommendations for a really enjoyable novel under this genre. I would also like to know if there are any gothic romance novels designed to appeal to guys and if so what are their titles? And the cheesier the novel, the better!!Do you know of any good Gothic Romance novels?

Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen makes fun of the Gothic romance genre. The heroine, Catherine Morland, is a fan of Gothic romance novels and when she visits her friend's home --an old abbey in the countryside -- she suspects a lot of those sinister things happening to her.



For cheesy, try V.C Andrews. My Sweet Audrina is a good choice, because it's a nonseries title, written fairly early and has more gothic elements than many of her trilogy/quadrilogies.Do you know of any good Gothic Romance novels?
