Romance novels?

Anything you'd like to recomend? I'll be happily skipping to the library tomorrow and I want to get some romances.Romance novels?
I really enjoyed the Fallen Angels series by Mary Jo Putney. It's set mostly in England during the Regency period. The books include:

Thunder and Roses (1993)

Petals in the Storm (1993)

Angel Rogue (1995)

Dancing on the Wind (1995)

River of Fire (1996)

Shattered Rainbows (1996)

One Perfect Rose (1997)

Linda Howard is another favorite of mine. I really liked her mystery/romantic suspense stories like Dream Man and Mr. Perfect and Open Season. You may also enjoy her MacKenzie series:

1. Mackenzie's Mountain (1989)

2. Mackenzie's Mission (1992)

3. Mackenzie's Pleasure (1996)

4. Mackenzie's Magic (1996)

5. A Game of Chance (2000)

Julie Garwood is another really good writer. Prince Charming was a great book (set in the 1800s). Her modern mystery/romantic suspense novels like Heartbreaker, Killjoy, and Mercy are good. You may also enjoy some of her series like:

Crown's Spies

1. The Lion's Lady (1988)

2. Guardian Angel (1990)

3. The Gift (1991)

4. Castles (1993)

and

Claybornes' Brides (Rose Hill)

1. For the Roses (1995)

2. One Pink Rose (1997)

One Pink Rose, One White and Red Rose (omnibus) (1997)

3. One White Rose (1997)

4. One Red Rose (1997)

5. Come the Spring (1997)

Some other authors whose works I've enjoyed include Nora Roberts (Born in Fire, Born in Ice, Born in Shame and Montana Sky and Hidden Treasures), Jayne Ann Krentz (Perfect Partners and others set in modern times), and Amanda Quick (who is Jayne Ann Krentz, but these books are either Regency period romantic suspense or Medieval romance like With This Ring, I Thee Wed, Wicked Widow).

Some other authors you may want to check out are Elizabeth Lowell, Johanna Lindsey, Diana Gabaldon (Outlander series), and Kathleen Woodiwiss. (You've already received recommendations for Catherine Coulter and Jude Deveraux, about which I agree.)

I'd also agree Jane Austen. If you want classics, I'd also suggest Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Pride and Prejudice or Sense and Sensibility or Persuasion (also by Jane Austen), Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell and Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.

I hope this helps. Happy reading!
"Expecting Adam," Martha Beck, Ph.D., is a real-life family romance, very warm, profound, funny. She now writes for "Mademoiselle."Romance novels?
how about harlequin and mills and boon romance novels..you get to pick your story...but novels authored by Danielle Steel and Nicholas Sparks are really good...
